Press: Put away your cell phones & take a step back in time when life was hard but much simpler! The dates for this year's Harvest Fair are Sat. Sept. 14th from 10am-4pm and Sun., Sept. 15th from 11:30am-4:00pm. The stage will open on Saturday with a Family Sing Along and on Sunday you can join us for a Hymn Sing. The Holt Twins will be performing their beautiful & foot stomping traditional folk song renditions on 12 & 6 string guitars, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, flute, fife, scheitholt, & hammered and mountain dulcimers. Keith Brintzenhoff will also be performing on Saturday. There will be cake walks, apple bobbing, etc. Don't forget to check out the heritage farm animals, the corn shelling demo, and visit the Gift Shop and Blacksmith Shop. Jason Long will again lead his crew doing sawmill and shingle sawing demos. Try your hand with the colonial toys,
There will also be house tours, self-guided garden tours, soap making, natural dyes, colonial needlework, spinners, baking demos, wagon rides, cider pressing, apple butter making, lots of goodies to eat, and many beautiful handmade 18th & 19th century crafts to see!
There will be much to experience and only 2 days to see it! The Harvest Fair is rain or shine, and please, do not bring your pets as their insurance does not allow them.
